How to choose & fitting guide
A quick guide to matching an Asahi-lite design to your customer, and the fitting values to order with.
How to choose in five steps
- 01
Who is it for?
Progressive for all-day near, middle and far · WorkView for office and screen work · Refresh for single vision wearers with tired eyes · Focus for premium single vision.
- 02
Pick the level
Essential for a first progressive, Premier for busy days, Signature for the widest, steadiest vision.
- 03
Check the frame
Frame B size at least 25 mm. Measure fitting height from the fitting cross to the frame (box or shape).
- 04
Choose the corridor
Signature, Premier and Essential: 14, 16, 18 or 20 mm to suit the fitting height. If none is given, the lab uses the longest corridor that fits.
- 05
Add options
Material and index, filter, photochromic or polarised, Platinum coating, and FeatherThin for thinner plus lenses.

- Fitting height is measured from the fitting cross (pupil centre) down to the frame: to the frame box (SEGHT) or to the frame shape (SEGDHT, frame shape needed).
- The corridor runs from the fitting cross to the bottom of the near zone, so an 18 mm corridor fits an 18 mm fitting height.
- Markings: fitting cross 4 mm above the PRP (prism reference point); engravings 17 mm each side of the PRP. Focus: cross at the PRP (optical centre).
- WorkView options share the same fitting values and differ in working distance and minimum addition. Refresh near boost options share the same fitting values.
- FeatherThin (Signature, Premier, Refresh, Focus; Rx only) needs a frame shape (tracing).
